UNPLUG & Create: How Art Brings Families Together

In today’s world, it’s easy to feel like we’re all in the same room but in different worlds. Parents are answering emails, kids are on tablets, and quality time can feel like a luxury. But what if you could step away from the screens, just for an afternoon, and create something beautiful together?

That’s exactly what we offer at LK Art Bucket. Our workshops and open studio sessions give families a chance to slow down and make something with their hands—together.

We’ve seen parents and kids laugh over paint splatters, problem-solve through mixed-media challenges, and proudly take home shared art they hang on their wall.

Art helps us connect in ways words sometimes can't. It gives children the freedom to express themselves and parents the chance to really see what their kids are thinking, feeling, and dreaming about. And it doesn’t have to be expensive or elaborate. Some of our favorite family projects involve recycled materials, dollar-store supplies, and imagination.

Whether you sign up for a splatter session, come to a workshop, or simply gather at the table with some paint and an old canvas, the benefits of creating together go far beyond the final piece.

Next Step: Browse our affordable family-friendly events and workshops and make a plan to unplug together. Your child won’t remember the show you watched last week—but they’ll remember the painting you made side by side.
