How it all started

LK Art Bucket was created from my belief that everyone has creativity inside them—and they deserve a place to explore it freely, without pressure or judgment. Too often, we’re our own harshest critics, when deep down, all we really want is to feel seen, supported, and connected to those around us. Here, art is just the beginning—it’s about belonging, expression, and joy.

The woman in this photo is my mom—my biggest creative inspiration. She had a gift for every craft she touched and poured her energy into everything she did with passion and grit. From photography and watercolor to baking, weaving, and fine cross-stitch, she brought artistry into every part of life. She even grew her own gourds from seed, drying and painting them into beautiful works of art. Beyond her creativity, she was a dedicated community member, active in her church, a supporter of the Polk County Fair, and a longtime member of St. Croix County Home and Community Education. She was truly a force of nature—and the heart behind my own creative journey.
