J.H. Salter Art Gallery – UW-Barron County, Rice Lake

Located on the UW-EC Barron County campus, this academic gallery hosts six exhibits annually—highlighting local, student, and regional artists. Free and open to the public, it’s a cultural asset in the community.


Up and Away Art – Rice Lake

A nonprofit organization offering art workshops designed for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Led by local artist Sherry Wesolowski, these sessions foster creativity, connection, and joy through painting, mixed media, and collaborative projects.


4-H Leathercraft Project – Barron County

Barron County Fair – Rice Lake (July 16–20, 2025)

Pioneer Village Museum – Cameron

Beyond the historic buildings and heritage exhibits, Pioneer Village hosts seasonal events including blacksmith demonstrations, craft fairs, vintage quilt shows, and an annual Strawberry Festival. Perfect for mixing history with handmade art.


Shell Lake Fine Arts Festival & Spooner Rodeo (Nearby)

Afternoon: Walk over to The Vintage Gallery in Cedar Mall for eclectic, repurposed finds.

Evening: Drive to Cumberland or Spooner to visit Dancing Bird or Arts in Hand Gallery, and wrap up your day with a dinner at local bar & grill or supper club!
